Some evenings are about celebration. Others are about purpose. The Yavapai Indian Foundation Western Gala brings both together.
On Saturday, April 18, 2026, the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation will welcome guests for the annual Western Gala — a signature event supporting the Yavapai Indian Foundation and the programs that strengthen the community across generations.
Held at the We-Ko-Pa Golf Club Main Clubhouse and surrounded by the quiet beauty of the Sonoran Desert, the evening blends hospitality, culture, and philanthropy in a setting that reflects the spirit of the Fort McDowell Destination.
The night begins at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail hour before guests gather for dinner at 7:00 p.m. Throughout the evening, attendees will experience a Western-inspired celebration featuring thoughtful programming and cultural moments that connect guests to the traditions and values of the Nation.
Guests will enjoy:
An open bar and Western-inspired dinner
Interactive cowboy-themed games
Native American performances
Cultural storytelling
A silent auction benefiting community initiatives
While the atmosphere is lively, the mission of the evening is deeply meaningful.
Proceeds from the Western Gala support the Yavapai Indian Foundation, a nonprofit committed to improving the lives of Tribal members and local families through scholarships, youth sports programs, youth and senior initiatives, and the preservation of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation’s history and traditions.
“This event brings people together for a night that reflects the heart of our community,” said Tribal Nation Member TBD. “It’s an opportunity to celebrate our heritage, support programs that make a difference, and share the story of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.”
The Western theme adds a sense of fun and energy, but the evening itself carries a deeper purpose — honoring tradition while investing in the future.
For visitors and supporters alike, the gala offers a meaningful way to engage with the Fort McDowell Destination. It is an opportunity to experience the culture, hospitality, and generosity that define the Nation while contributing to programs that continue to uplift the community.
Tickets are $400 per person, and sponsorship opportunities are available for those who wish to further support the Foundation’s mission.
